WORKED

$12.99/month for Final Cut Pro + Logic Pro + Pixelmator Pro is honestly incredible value compared to buying them separately or paying for Adobe's suite.

Product Hunt • ProductHunt • Use case: Considering the subscription for professional video, audio, and photo editing tools as a more accessible alternative to buying them outright or using Adobe's suite.

Ick. Apple trying to take more money out of its devoted users. They seem devoted to stop being a premium solution and expecting their users to be cash machines.

Product Hunt • ProductHunt • Use case: General user within the Apple ecosystem, considering new paid services.

I have no plans of using Apple Creative Studio. Overall, I understand why Apple is doing this, subscriptions tend to be recurring, and they need a way to monetize their current user base. But they do this at the risk of losing users.

Product Hunt • ProductHunt • Use case: Professional video, audio, and motion graphics editing using standalone Apple apps (Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Compressor).

FAILED

many of these products used to be free, and now they'll cost $155.88/year? Is this the start of Apple enshittifying?

Product Hunt • ProductHunt • Use case: Evaluating the transition of formerly free Apple creativity and productivity apps (iWork suite) into a paid subscription service.
