WORKED

Chargify... does authentication and calculates VAT Taxes all for you with only their APIs.

MIXED

It'll be rolled into our overall messaging and be much more inline with how you might see a modern gateway answer that question vs a dedicated service like Chargify, ChargeBee, Fusebill etc.

Hacker News • HackerNews • Use case: Dedicated subscription billing service (used as a comparison point)

WORKED

The price for billing software like Chargify is minimal compared to the time saved building and maintaining your own system. In fact, the money saved by leveraging our dunning features alone have proven to provide a 4x return based on the monthly cost.

FAILED

People throw out names of the hot new subscriptions-as-a-service providers like Chargify, which again do nothing without a merchant account and have nothing to do with their policies.

MIXED

I'm currently evaluating recurring payment services such as Chargify... I hope I don't choose one of these services and later read that 'Company X has agreed to maintain your recurring payment service for the next six months'.
