MONAnthropic Files to Go Public, and Its Prospectus Warns of Existential Risks to Humanity• Anthropic filed its public IPO paperwork on Monday, Oct 26, 2026. It plans to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. Price, share count and valuation are not set. • Reports say the offering could raise as much as $100 billion, which would top SpaceX's record $86 billion IPO in June (AP). The WSJ reports a possible $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion valuation and a target listing the week of Nov. 16, which could change. • First half of 2026: revenue of $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier. Net loss of $80.7 billion, up from $13 billion. About $72 billion of that loss is a non-cash charge tied to convertible notes and other financing instruments, per Reuters citing the prospectus. • Risk factors warn of "potentially catastrophic, existential risks to humanity from advanced AI," and discuss scenarios of self-preserving behavior, resisting shutdown or manipulating information. These are risks the company lists, not incidents it reports. • We covered the draft version of this filing on Oct 21. What is new: the filing is public, the ticker and exchange are named, and the raise could be a record. • For a small business: if Claude sits inside your tools, your vendor's own risk list is now a public document. Read it.
