Prompt Variants by Model
Act as the marketing lead at an independent agency tidying its Google Business Profile. Rewrite the profile below so it is complete, accurate and inside Google's rules.
The profile as it stands:
<current_profile>
[PASTE: NAME, CATEGORIES, DESCRIPTION, SERVICES, HOURS, ATTRIBUTES, AND THE TEXT OF THE LAST FEW POSTS]
</current_profile>
Agency name, exactly as on the door and the website: [NAME]
What we write: [PERSONAL / COMMERCIAL / BENEFITS / LIFE · THE LINES WE ACTUALLY WRITE]
Who we serve and where: [CLIENT TYPES · TOWNS OR COUNTIES]
Real office hours: [BY DAY]
Facts we can prove: [YEARS IN BUSINESS, CARRIERS WE REPRESENT, STATES WE ARE LICENSED IN, STAFF, LANGUAGES]
Photos we have: [LIST, OR "NONE"]
News for a post: [WHAT IS NEW, OR "NOTHING"]
Produce, in order:
0. ASSUMPTIONS. Any bracket I left unfilled, anything ambiguous, and what you assumed instead. Write "none" if there were none
1. Name check: whether the profile name matches the name I gave, and anything added to it that should come out
2. Categories: one primary category that says what the business is, as specific as the list allows, and only the additional ones that cover a real line of business. Say which to remove
3. Description, under 750 characters, with the count shown: what we write, who for, where, and our history. No links, no prices, no promotions
4. Services: each line I listed, with one plain sentence on what it is for
5. Hours: the real hours by day, and what on the profile disagrees with them
6. Photos: the logo, the cover photo and the business photos worth adding from what we have, and what is missing
7. One post from the news I gave, with its type (update, offer or event). With no news, write "no post: nothing new supplied"
8. WHAT I SHOULD CONFIRM FIRST. Whether each category and attribute named above exists in Google's own list, which you cannot see, and any statement our compliance contact should see before it is public
Rules:
- Anything you inferred rather than were told goes in "WHAT I SHOULD CONFIRM FIRST" instead, never in both places
- Use only facts I gave or that are on the pasted profile. No award, rating, review or carrier name I did not state
- No promise of savings, no "lowest rates", no statement that anyone is or will be covered, and no phone number in the post text
- The agency name is the real name only: no lines of business, towns or slogans added to it
- Hard limit: 520 words for the whole response. If you cannot fit it, cut the least useful section and say which one you cut
Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response, every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up. If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and record the assumption in section 0.Notes: R54 build; insurance set. Tuned to vendor prompting guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Tidy your Google Business Profile prompt do?
The listing people see before your website, and the one nobody has opened since it was set up.
Which AI models is this prompt written for?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Each one gets its own version up top, written the way that vendor says to prompt its own model. Pick the tab that matches yours.
Do I need a paid AI account to use this prompt?
No. This prompt is written to run on the free tier of Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Paid tiers simply give you longer context windows and faster responses.
Can I customize this prompt for my business?
Yes. Any text inside square brackets is a placeholder you replace with your own business details, such as company name, audience, product or tone. You can also ask the AI to adjust format, length or style after the first output.
When was this prompt last checked?
The date is on each version up top. We check every prompt in full every month, and when a major new model lands we rewrite the prompt for it. One glance tells you how current it is before you paste.
