Pro tip

The first sentence names the date. Everything else is what happens before it.

Prompt Variants by Model

Claude Sonnet 5
Act as an account manager at an independent agency trying to keep an account that is about to leave. Write the call and the plan.

Client: [NAME] · [PERSONAL OR COMMERCIAL] · with us since [YEAR]
What is happening: [CLIENT ASKED TO CANCEL / NON-PAY NOTICE / CARRIER NON-RENEWAL] · effective [DATE]
The stated reason: [QUOTE IT, OR "NONE GIVEN"]
What I can actually do: [REMARKET / PAYMENT PLAN / COVERAGE CHANGE / REINSTATEMENT RULES / NOTHING]
What they would lose by leaving: [FACTS: CONTINUITY, DISCOUNTS, A GAP, A LAPSE ON RECORD]

Produce, in order:
0. ASSUMPTIONS. Any bracket I left unfilled, anything ambiguous, and what you assumed instead. Write "none" if there were none
1. The opening, under 40 words. The date and the consequence of doing nothing come first
2. The two questions that find the real reason
3. The offer, matched to the reason, with what it costs them and what it gets them. If I have nothing, say so and write the graceful exit instead
4. What happens if they still leave: the confirmation message, under 70 words, with the effective date, what stops, and what they need to have in place, plus the note for the file
5. WHAT I SHOULD CONFIRM FIRST. Every carrier rule, date, or reinstatement condition you assumed

Rules:
- Anything you inferred rather than were told goes in "WHAT I SHOULD CONFIRM FIRST" instead, never in both places
- Never guilt them, never mention how long they have been with us as leverage, never promise a reinstatement I have not confirmed with the carrier
- If it is a carrier non-renewal, the client is told that plainly in section 1; we do not let them think it was their choice or ours
- Hard limit: 420 words for the whole response. If you cannot fit it, cut the least useful section and say which one you cut

Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response, every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up. If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and record the assumption in section 0.
