Pro tip

Dump in raw feedback: typos, shorthand, and all. AI handles messy data better than you think. The more responses, the more reliable the patterns.

Raw feedback (names, emails and phone numbers removed before pasting):
[PASTE ALL FEEDBACK]

Deliver:
1. Theme analysis — 5-8 recurring themes: name, % of responses mentioning it, sentiment, 2-3 direct quotes
2. Sentiment breakdown — % positive / neutral / negative
3. Top 5 action items ranked by impact × frequency — what the feedback says, what to do
4. Hidden gems — 2-3 low-frequency insights that signal an emerging trend
5. Quotable highlights — the 5 best customer quotes for marketing or internal use

Attribute every quote by customer type where the feedback shows it (for example "repeat customer"), otherwise as "a customer", and never by name. If a name or contact detail is still in the pasted text, leave it out of everything you return. Under section 5, add one line: a quote goes into marketing only with that customer's permission. These customers gave their feedback to the business, not to the public.

Success means every percentage is counted from the pasted responses, every quote is verbatim, and no theme is asserted without at least two supporting responses.

Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response — every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up.

If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and label any assumption you made.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Survey & Feedback Insight Extractor prompt do?

Turn a pile of survey responses, NPS comments, support tickets, or review feedback into a structured insights report with themes, sentiment breakdown, priority actions, and quotable highlights. Works with any unstructured text feedback.

Which AI models is this prompt written for?

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Each one gets its own version up top, written the way that vendor says to prompt its own model. Pick the tab that matches yours.

Do I need a paid AI account to use this prompt?

No. This prompt is written to run on the free tier of Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Paid tiers simply give you longer context windows and faster responses.

Can I customize this prompt for my business?

Yes. Any text inside square brackets is a placeholder you replace with your own business details, such as company name, audience, product or tone. You can also ask the AI to adjust format, length or style after the first output.

When was this prompt last checked?

The date is on each version up top. We check every prompt in full every month, and when a major new model lands we rewrite the prompt for it. One glance tells you how current it is before you paste.
