Pro tip

Paste a transcript with timestamps if you want chapters. Without them you get the chapter titles and add the times yourself.

How to use this prompt

  1. Pick your AI model. Choose the tab for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. Each variant is tuned for that model.
  2. Copy the full prompt. Click Copy Full Prompt to copy the text to your clipboard.
  3. Paste into your AI tool. Open your chosen model and paste the prompt into a new chat.
  4. Replace the [placeholders]. Swap any bracketed fields for your company name, audience, product or tone.
  5. Run and refine. Review the output. If anything is off, ask the AI to tighten tone, length or format.

Act as a YouTube channel manager for a small business. Write everything that goes in the upload form for the video above.

Channel [NAME, WHAT IT COVERS] · viewer [WHO THE VIDEO IS FOR] · the one or two main words people would search [WORDS] · video length [MINUTES AND SECONDS] · links to include [URLS, WITH WHAT EACH ONE IS, or NONE] · words people often misspell when searching for this [LIST, or NONE] · next video or playlist to point to [TITLE, or NONE] · tone [DESCRIBE]

Deliver:
1. Five titles, each under 100 characters, the main words near the front, each one true to what the video shows; mark the one you would use and say why
2. Description, under 5,000 characters: the first two lines say what the video covers and stand on their own, then a fuller summary that uses the main words, then my links with a label each
3. Chapters, as lines for the description: in ascending order, the first at 00:00, at least three in total, each at least 10 seconds long
4. Tags: the misspellings I listed and a short set of plain descriptive words, with one line reminding me that tags do little for discovery next to the title, thumbnail and description
5. End screen plan: which elements to show in the last 5 to 20 seconds, up to four, and the line I say to point at them
6. Pinned comment, under 50 words, that asks one question

Take chapter times only from timestamps in what I pasted. With none, list the chapter titles in order, put 00:00 on the first and write "ADD TIME" beside the rest, because a guessed time sends viewers to the wrong place. Every claim in a title or the description is something the video itself says. Show the character count beside each title and the description; limits can change, so I will confirm them in YouTube Studio.

Success means every title is under 100 characters and matches the video, the chapters start at 00:00 in ascending order, and no time other than 00:00 appears that was not in what I pasted.

Match the tone I specified above exactly; where I gave none, write plainly and warmly, the way a good operator talks to a customer: no corporate filler, no hedging phrases.

Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response, every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up.

If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and label any assumption you made.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the YouTube Upload Package prompt do?

Write everything the upload form asks for from your script or transcript: titles, description, chapters, tags, an end screen plan and a pinned comment. Chapter times come only from timestamps you paste.

Which AI models is this prompt written for?

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Each one gets its own version up top, written the way that vendor says to prompt its own model. Pick the tab that matches yours.

Do I need a paid AI account to use this prompt?

No. This prompt is written to run on the free tier of Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Paid tiers simply give you longer context windows and faster responses.

Can I customize this prompt for my business?

Yes. Any text inside square brackets is a placeholder you replace with your own business details, such as company name, audience, product or tone. You can also ask the AI to adjust format, length or style after the first output.

When was this prompt last checked?

The date is on each version up top. We check every prompt in full every month, and when a major new model lands we rewrite the prompt for it. One glance tells you how current it is before you paste.
