“I've loved using Cowork recently for sourcing decisions. Things where seemingly everyone's out of stock or questionably reputable, just let Cowork spin for 20 minutes, find the best new and best used options that meet your requirements, probably also suggesting a different item that does the job and is available for cheap.”

“Cowork/Claude Desktop itself is also quite a frustrating product. There's no native audit log unless you basically wire up your own with the API & a log aggregator. You can't selectively enable Claude Code access per team member, it's all or nothing. Some of the MCP connections (like QuickBooks Online) don't do RBAC at all, it's all or nothing for every user in the team.”

“In Cowork the whole accumulated Obsidian folder becomes fully queryable rather than merely searchable — instead of grep-ing for a keyword, I can ask questions that reason across months of meetings”

“it had like 500 hours allocated for what I did in a week with cowork, and my product is actually on secure vnet network with Azure identity security with both a test and a production environment delivering actual data. Cowork even made the damn powerpoint slideshows for decision makers.”

“What is then starting to get quite powerful for me is moving from full text search of my meeting notes in Obsidian (I'm a PM in a lot of meetings), but I can point Cowork to the Obsidian notes folder (because they're all Markdown) and start doing rich "querying" of it”
