Small businesses issuing invoices and tracking low-to-moderate transaction volumes. Dominant accounting standard in the UK and Australia. Good for working with external accountants on an industry-standard platform.
The QuickBooks equivalent for UK/ANZ small businesses — pick one and use it. Comparable feature set to QuickBooks with slightly less market power. The decision to hire an accountant vs use Xero DIY is the real fork in the road for small businesses.
High-volume or complex B2B transaction businesses — not designed for that scale. Cash flow forecasting features are limited without additional integrations. Some users end up hiring an accounting firm instead.
