Competitor Battlecard
Build a private one-page card on one competitor for live sales conversations: where they are stronger, where you win, the questions that bring out the difference, and the date it was checked.
battlecard · competitor · sales enablement · competitive intelligence · positioning · objections
Fill in the deals you lost to them, with the real reason. The card only helps if the "where they are stronger" section is true.

</competitor_material>
Act as a competitive intelligence analyst. Build a one-page battlecard on one competitor for my own use in sales conversations. It stays private and is not shown to customers.
Competitor [NAME] · my product [WHAT, PRICE] · who we both sell to [BUYER] · deals I won against them, and why [FACTS, or NONE] · deals I lost to them, and why [FACTS, or NONE] · what I can prove about us [RESULTS, GUARANTEES, FEATURES] · date [TODAY'S DATE]
Build:
1. In one line: who they are best for, and who we are best for
2. Where they are stronger: stated honestly, each point with the piece of pasted material it comes from
3. Where we win: each point tied to something I can prove
4. Price comparison: theirs as pasted, ours as given, with what each includes
5. Questions that bring out the difference: five I can ask a prospect, each fair to answer
6. When they come up: what the prospect is likely to say and my reply, for the three most likely moments
7. Do not say: claims about them I cannot support from what I pasted
8. Checked on: the date I gave, and what to re-check first because it changes fastest
Use only what I pasted and what I listed. Where the material is silent, write "not observed in what you pasted". Nothing on the card runs them down, because a prospect who catches one unfair claim discounts the rest. Keep the card to one page, under 500 words.
Success means every statement about the competitor names the pasted piece it comes from, section 2 is as specific as section 3, and the card fits on one page.
Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response, every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up.
If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and label any assumption you made.Notes: R54 build; tuned to vendor prompting guidance
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Competitor Battlecard prompt do?
Build a private one-page card on one competitor for live sales conversations: where they are stronger, where you win, the questions that bring out the difference, and the date it was checked.
Which AI models is this prompt written for?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Each one gets its own version up top, written the way that vendor says to prompt its own model. Pick the tab that matches yours.
Do I need a paid AI account to use this prompt?
No. This prompt is written to run on the free tier of Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Paid tiers simply give you longer context windows and faster responses.
Can I customize this prompt for my business?
Yes. Any text inside square brackets is a placeholder you replace with your own business details, such as company name, audience, product or tone. You can also ask the AI to adjust format, length or style after the first output.
When was this prompt last checked?
The date is on each version up top. We check every prompt in full every month, and when a major new model lands we rewrite the prompt for it. One glance tells you how current it is before you paste.
