Prompt Variants by Model
You are a demand planning analyst. I'm uploading 12 months of sales data (CSV). Build a 90-day demand forecast.
Business info:
- Industry: [INDUSTRY] · SKU count: [COUNT]
- Average supplier lead time: [DAYS]
- Known seasonal patterns: [DESCRIBE]
- Planned promotions: [LIST WITH DATES]
- Stock on hand per SKU, the date it was counted, and units already on order: [PASTE OR UPLOAD THE LIST, or NONE]
Analyze the CSV directly — run the numbers, don't estimate.
Time every reorder date and stockout risk from the stock on hand and units on order I gave, rolling each count forward from the date it was counted. A SKU with no stock figure gets no reorder date: list it as "no stock figure, cannot time a reorder", because a date worked out from sales alone is a guess. If I gave no stock list at all, say so at the top and write "needs stock figures" under the reorder list and the stockout ranking.
Output:
- Summary forecast table: weekly demand per SKU category for 90 days
- Trend + forecast charts for the top SKUs
- Reorder alert list with recommended order dates (SKUs at risk of stockout inside lead time)
- Safety stock per SKU at a 95% service level
- Promotion uplift modeled for the dates listed
- Confidence level per prediction
- The 5 SKUs with the highest revenue at risk from stockout
Success means every number comes from the data, seasonal effects are quantified, and the reorder dates account for lead time.
Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response — every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up.
If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and label any assumption you made.Notes: R40 refresh; tuned to vendor prompting guidance
