Pro tip

Always specify the platform dimensions upfront: Instagram posts are 1080x1080, Stories are 1080x1920, LinkedIn articles are 1200x627. AI tools produce better results when constrained by real specs.

Act as a social media designer. Write a graphics brief for my [INDUSTRY] business.

Brand: colors [HEX CODES] · fonts [NAMES] · voice [2-3 WORDS] · logo [DESCRIBE]
Campaign: [THEME/PURPOSE] · key message: [CORE MESSAGE] · number of graphics: [COUNT]
Statistic for the LinkedIn graphic: [THE NUMBER AND ITS SOURCE, or NONE]

One brief per platform:
1. Instagram post (1080x1080) — layout, color blocking, headline (≤8 words), supporting text (≤15 words), image prompt (60-80 words), CTA element
2. Instagram Story (1080x1920) — vertical layout, text positions, link sticker placement, background image prompt
3. LinkedIn (1200x627) — professional layout, headline + the statistic I supplied with its source in small text, image prompt; if I supplied none, headline only, since an invented number on a public graphic is a false claim
4. X (1600x900) — high contrast, ≤6 words in image, image prompt

For each, give the actual on-image text and a separate image-generation prompt I can paste into an image tool.

Success means every headline carries the key message, word limits are met, and the image prompts specify my brand colors by hex.

Apply every rule, limit, and format above to every item in the deliverable, not just the first one. Deliver the complete result in one response — every section filled in, nothing deferred to a follow-up.

If a required input is missing, ask for it once before starting; otherwise proceed and label any assumption you made.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Social Media Graphics Brief Generator prompt do?

Which AI models is this prompt written for?

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Each one gets its own version up top, written the way that vendor says to prompt its own model. Pick the tab that matches yours.

Do I need a paid AI account to use this prompt?

No. This prompt is written to run on the free tier of Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Paid tiers simply give you longer context windows and faster responses.

Can I customize this prompt for my business?

Yes. Any text inside square brackets is a placeholder you replace with your own business details, such as company name, audience, product or tone. You can also ask the AI to adjust format, length or style after the first output.

When was this prompt last checked?

The date is on each version up top. We check every prompt in full every month, and when a major new model lands we rewrite the prompt for it. One glance tells you how current it is before you paste.
